David and Lynn promise a deeply personal and innovative perspective at this year’s Building Bridges conference. As parents of two children with PKU, they co-founded Cambrooke Therapeutics in response to the limitations they encountered firsthand in managing the PKU diet. What began as a mission to improve the quality, variety, and affordability of low-protein foods has grown into a global impact—culminating in Cambrooke's acquisition by Ajinomoto. Their work pioneered the use of glycomacropeptide (GMP) as a medical food, and their children were among the first to benefit from this groundbreaking dietary advancement. From developing more than 120 low-protein food products to building an aseptic beverage plant and expanding into international markets, their 20-year journey has reshaped nutritional therapy for inborn errors of metabolism.
At Building Bridges, David and Lynn will reflect on their legacy and share insights on the future of PKU treatment, driven by innovation, compassion, and their ongoing hope for safe and effective therapies for the next generation.
