President and CEO of Clinical Trials Ontario and the Nominated Principal Investigator of the CanReview Collaboration—a pan-Canadian initiative supported by the ACT Consortium. With extensive leadership experience in clinical research and ethics infrastructure, Ms. Marlin is at the forefront of transforming how clinical trials are reviewed and conducted across Canada.

Through CanReview, she leads a national effort to enable a single research ethics review for multi-site clinical trials, while upholding the highest ethical standards. This collaborative model involves Research Ethics Boards, institutions, research teams, Indigenous community members, patients and family partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders. Together, they are co-developing a system to enhance trial efficiency, expand access to underserved, rural, and remote communities, and promote equitable participation in clinical research.

At Building Bridges, Ms. Marlin will present on the evolving infrastructure supporting clinical trial access for rare disease communities and will join a panel discussion alongside other national leaders. Learn more about CanReview at www.canreview.ca.
