From early planning through Mile 0 and beyond, Canadians — and even a few Americans — gave generously to support CanPKU+.

The Goals — and the Results

Initial target: $25,000
Revised target: $40,000 (to cover ~$15,000 ride costs and net $25,000 for programs)
Final total raised: $64,693.67

Donations came in many forms: online gifts (with thanks to CORD’s receipting support for gifts over $10), cash in an envelope left under a windshield, t-shirt purchases, corporate support, and proceeds from local events.

Why It Mattered

Funds helped CanPKU+ continue supporting, educating, and advocating on behalf of people with PKU and allied disorders. The success of the ride also opened the door to exploring support for research for the first time in the organization’s history.
