Decide
Decision 1: Agree to host and let us know
Thanks for agreeing to host. Once you tell us you are in, we can help you set up your fundraising tracking page and support you with tools and templates.
Decision 2: Choose a date and time
Your date is totally up to you. It can mirror an important date in the calendar (listed below), be a celebration of someone with rare (a birthday, diagnosis day, or personal milestone), or simply be a date that works.
- [Add date option]
- [Add date option]
- [Add date option]
Tip: If you are booking a bowling center, choose a couple of backup date options in case your first choice is not available.
Decision 3: Choose your venue (at home / virtual or bowling center)
You can host from anywhere.
Option A: At home or virtual
- No overhead and easy to set up.
- Use a child's bowling set, pop bottles and a ball, or an electronic system like Wii Bowling.
- Friends can still "bowl with you" from their own homes, even if you also host at a bowling center.
Option B: Bowling at a center
- Call the center and ask about fundraiser packages or discounts.
- Make notes: date, time, number of lanes, price per person or per lane, shoe rental, 5-pin or 10-pin, when you pay, and payment type.
- If you collect cash donations, you can use them toward lane fees. Keep receipts.

Who to invite
How to collect pledges (paper or digital)
Paper pledges (old school)
Provide printed pledge sheets for those who prefer paper. We suggest collecting funds when pledged to avoid follow-up work.
Pledge Forms (PDF)Digital pledges (online)
Virtual teams and online fundraising (optional, fun tool)
Our fundraising platform allows people to create virtual teams and grow their event. These teams can remain virtual or be used at the on-site location.
By using this option, participants can share their participation on social media platforms, encourage others to join them, and allow for online fundraising.
For those extra competitive folks it also includes the ability to show online fundraising totals to help create mini competitions between team members (and sneak attacks for those who collect in person too).
This is not a requirement to use. It is just a fun tool for those who are up for adding a bit of complexity and competition.
Encourage your teams (make it fun)
