Why become a member?

For some things such as advocacy and grant applications our organization is measured by how many members we have in the organization. Your membership helps increase this count and increase our voice. Thank you for considering joining our organization and increasing the volume of our voice!

By becoming a member you are showing your support for CanPKU+ to accomplish its goals, which include:

Creating awareness about PKU and other inherited metabolic disorders;
Providing a supportive community for those living with PKU and other inherited metabolic disorders;
Increasing opportunities for PKU families and others to attend educational and networking events;
To improve the lives of people living with PKU and other inherited metabolic disorders;
Promoting and supporting research; and
Advocating for increased treatment coverage across Canada.

A General Member - Family - $25.00 (CAD) Bundle (up to 10 members) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) This membership is used for a family who has a member diagnosed with PKU or another Allied disorder; it will allow for one "admin" or head of family as well as up to 5 additional family members to be listed under the same membership such as a parent, grandparent, legal guardian, sibling, spouse or child). This membership will only allow ONE vote. Only general members 18 years of age and older are entitled to vote.

A General Member - Individual - $20.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Anyone person diagnosed with PKU or Allied Disorder; any one person related to a person with PKU or Allied Disorder whose life is directly affected by the diagnosed disorder (such as a parent, grandparent, legal guardian, sibling, spouse or child). This membership allows for ONE vote. Only general members 18 years of age and older are entitled to vote.

A Professional Member - $35.00 (CAD) Bundle (up to 3 members) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Professional Member - Any professional (doctors, researchers, nurses, dietitians, etc.) who has a link to PKU and other genetic diseases and/or metabolic disorders, has an interest in this or is working in this area. Professional members do NOT have the right to vote.
Membre professionnel (MP) – Tout professionnel (médecins, chercheurs, infirmiers/infirmières, diététistes, etc.) ayant un lien avec la PCU et autres maladies génétiques et/ou troubles métaboliques, un intérêt à cet égard ou travaillant dans ce domaine. Les membres professionnels n’ont PAS droit de vote.

A Supportive Member - $30.00 (CAD) Subscription period: 1 year Automatic renewal (recurring payments) Anyone who supports CanPKUs vision and mission and is interested in contributing to its goals. Supporting members are NOT entitled to vote.
